Page 1 - IntroductionGoalTo provide detailed information about various birth control options available in order that a woman may make a well-informed choice. All women who are first-time users of hormonal contraception need to complete the birth control education class through McKinley. Contraceptive Class InformationIf the woman has a prescription on file at another Pharmacy and would like McKinley Pharmacy to fill it, they can contact the Pharmacy and ask that the prescription be transferred. Birth Control Education Classes are mandatory for women who want to receive their FIRST prescription for hormonal birth control from a McKinley Health Center provider. If you have seen your doctor at home, you may obtain a prescription through them and have it filled at McKinley's Pharmacy. Before a woman can receive a prescription for a hormonal birth control method she must see her health care provider for a review of her health history and a physical exam. This course will cover information about various forms of Birth Control. McKinley carries many of these forms but not all of them. Complete the class on-line.
